Timesheet and timecard collaboration

Purpose:
Koho enables the use of Timesheet and Timecard side by side. This is useful in situations where an employee normally records hours via a weekly view (Timesheet), but needs time tracking for tasks whose duration is not known in advance.

1. Starting a timecard entry

  1. Find the right customer and task in the search box in the upper right corner of the main window.

  2. Start the time entry in the Timecard view.


2. Ending timecard logging

  • When the job is complete, press the 'Stop' button to stop the active entry.

At the end of the entry:

  • The information will be moved to the "Unconfirmed" tab, where it can still be edited.

  • The entry will also appear in the weekly view of the Timesheet (may require updating the tab).


3. How does the timecard entry appear in the Timesheet?

  • The + icon next to the time entry indicates that it is a entry made through the Time Card .

  • Below each day, you can see the total number of hours of time card entries.

  • Click on the blue number of hours to see a more detailed breakdown.


4. Editing and approving time entries

  1. Click on the desired row of time cards to open the edit view.

  2. Make the necessary changes and save.

  3. Approve entries:

    • on the "Unconfirmed" tab, or

    • directly from the right side of the Timesheet row.
