Obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act at Koho

In the Koho system, you can easily record the information required by the Anti-Money Laundering Act on beneficial owners and companies that are subject to enhanced monitoring.

N.B! By default, the "Enhanced monitoring" and "Beneficial owner" fields are not available in Koho. To enable these features, please contact our customer service.

Koho also enables the identification of customers' contact persons electronically or with a passport. In connection with identification, it is automatically verified that the person does not appear on the sanctions lists of the National Bureau of Investigation, the European Union or the United Nations.

1. Companies subject to enhanced monitoring

1. Go to the customer's customer card and select Edit.

2. On the Basic information tab, select whether the company is covered by enhanced monitoring.

3. If necessary, add industry, country of residence and other identifying information.

2. Increasing the number of beneficial owners

1. Go to the customer's customer card and click Edit.

2. Go to the Contact and Responsible Persons tab.

3. Click + New contact.

4. Fill in the contact information.

5. Select Beneficial owner to open additional fields.

6. Enter the information required by the Anti-Money Laundering Act about the beneficial owner.

7. Finally, save the information.

3. Identification of persons

The identification tools can be found on the customer's customer card. Identification can be done in two ways:

Electronic identification

• To send an email request for identification to the contact, press the icon below the contact's name.

• In the window that opens, select Electronic identification.

• The person performs identification via a link in the email.

Identification with a passport

If electronic identification is not possible:

• Click on the icon below the contact's name and select Passport / ID Card.

• Add your passport number and a copy of your passport.

• Download a copy of your passport and add your passport number as instructed.

After identification, the question mark under the contact's name becomes confirmed.

4. Reporting

• The People report contains information on the beneficial owners of companies and the identification of the person.

• The report can be found on the administration side: Customers → People.

• You can see more information by activating Additional fields (person) and Identification by pressing Show.

• You can also download the report as an Excel file by clicking the Excel button above the report.
