1. Basic use of the workday clock
The working day clock is used to monitor the working hours during the working day. If your company uses a workday clock, it is located on the right side of the top bar of Koho.

To start the working day:
Click on the clock icon to start the workday.
After the clock starts:
The "Away" status changes to "Working".
You can see the accumulation of hours in the working day in the upper right corner (updated when the page is updated).
At the bottom, you'll see the clocking start time and estimated end time.

By clicking on the estimated end time, you can end the shift and the clocking will stop.
Breaks and absences:
Click the clock icon again when you leave for lunch or take care of personal matters, for example.
Koho automatically creates separate clock lines for each time interval.
This is how the total working hours of the day are formed.
N.B: The daily accrual is not updated in real time – refresh the page if necessary.
2. Types of working days
If your account has working day types (e.g. Working hours, Lunch), select the type you want from the list that opens when you start the clock.

To change the type:
There is no need to stop the clocking in progress.
To change the workday type, click the clock icon and select a new option.
Exceptional situations:
If there are non-working expenses during the working day (e.g. a bank visit), stop the clocking by using the "End – Flex" button.
The same button also works until the end of the day, unless the account has overtime types enabled.
Overtime entries:
If you want to record overtime automatically, you need to configure it through Koho's customer service.

3. Changing the clocking start time
Forgot the clock? To edit the clocking start time, follow these steps:
Click the clocking start time.
Enter the actual start time.
Add a mandatory comment, e.g. "I forgot to turn on the clock when I came to work."

The comment must be clear and justified, as the administrator can see this in the reporting.
After editing:
The new start time is updated in the working day clock.
Koho calculates the duration of the working day based on the new time.
Hint: If you want to edit the entries in more detail or retrospectively, see the instructions "Where can I see my hours worked or flexible working hours?"
4. Forgotten clocking
If the workday clock is accidentally left on at the end of the day:
The next time Koho opens, the system will ask for an end time from the previous day.
Enter:
For the time of day, the correct end time of the working day.
If you want a comment (optional).
Press Save.

After this, you can start a new working day as usual.
